Hi again! Thanks for getting to know me a little bit more.

For as long as I can remember, I've had an interest in design and a passion for being creative. I always carried pens and paper with me, ready to draw anything and everything. My journey to being a designer was long, and albeit, unconventional at times but I took what I learned and applied it to being the best User Experience Designer I can be. As a Human Resources professional, I was always empathetic and approachable. I loved helping my colleagues solve problems even when it wasn't HR-related. I put people first. And that is what User Experience is all about: the people, and how they feel about what I create. UX combines my love of working with a group of diverse people, defining the problems they face, and creating beautiful solutions.

I begin with understanding people’s motivations and behaviors, and once I’ve got that, I can work with a team to deliver a product users will love. I believe that collaboration across multiple departments is critical in user-centered design. My perspective on working with a diverse group of people helps with communicating ideas and conceptualizing processes. This adds different layers of experiences and opinions to the work, which leads to an end-product everyone can be proud of.  It also ensures that users’ problems get solved and that they will have a rewarding experience.

Okay, enough about work! When I'm not thinking about the users, you can find me snuggling my Golden Retriever Calliope “Pea” (follow her adventures on Instagram: @thegoldenpea), daydreaming of places to travel, things to cook and eat, and planning my next DIY project. Most importantly, you can count on me to brighten your day with cute animal photos and videos!

Have any questions or just want a cute puppy video?
